The 3-day course is one which provides marine services, management and senior level marine executives a basic understanding of core ABYC standards. ABYC has been developing, writing and updating the voluntary safety standards for boat building and repair in the United Stated for nearly 50 years and is actively involved with the development of international standards as well as certification programs for marine technicians. Having completed the course and having passed the exam, Captain Joyce is now one of a growing group of specialists in the country whose commitment to service excellence means better customer service for the recreational boater as Captain Joyce ahs garnered both a comprehensive understanding and focused look at ABYC standards. “Nolen’s Marine Surveying believes that enrolling in ABYC’s training programs means that it’s customers will enjoy and even higher degree of satisfaction.” says Captain Joyce Nolen. “But, what it really takes is the commitment to be able to advance our knowledge by attending an ABYC program. Accredited Marine Surveyor with SAMS (Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors).
SAMS is one of two internationally recognized professional surveying
organizations dedicated to promoting the good image and general well being of
our profession. SAMS accepts for membership only those professional who have
demonstrated the technical skills necessary to be accredited as marine Surveyors
in order to use the title of Accredited Marine Surveyor. Members must have a
minimum of 5 years experience and must pass an examination of a SAMS testing
committee in order to earn this designation. Captain Joyce has been a member in Good Standing with ABYC since 1996.
